Yep I know - just another 'in love with this guy' question....?

I'm 16, and my friend with benefits, 20, have been having for a few months. We've been good friends for about a year before then, and I had always had a crush on him, but I knew he would never be into me that way because I am the exact opposite of his type of girl. We act like boyfriend and girlfriend all the time. He says he feels protective of me, and cares about me, but I know not in that way. We're very close and the isn't just rough animal . We get caught up in the moment and cuddle up to each other and even go out on dates. Sometimes people ask what we are, and we say friends, but I can't get over the heartache that I know I will never be with him. He was quite flirty with girls before we were friends with benefits, so I know it would never work out. I love him... :(
