Should I return the GPS system?

I got my dad a GPS system for his birthday (my brother and sister helped chip, in) Well we give it to him and he gets all angry and walks out to his truck and comes back with a whole bunch of maps and throws them into the fireplace and screams, I guess I wont be needing these anymore. Then he storms off upstairs into his bedroom. He hasn't come down since (been 5 hours now)
