How quick did you feel your plugged duct?

pretty quick i had one once and it didn't show up till i was almost done pumping. it felt like a marble and the side of my was bright red. i called the lactationist and she told me that it happens and to use moist heat (a shower) and light mage. then it went away. it really hurt cause it was really close to my nipple. don't wait to long to deal with it.
