Why do liberals constantly bash America and complain about our education standards being so (continued below)?

Why do they contain about our education standards being so low when comparing us to Europe and Japan, but yet they themselves (liberals) are the reason America isn't doing so good. We have lowered our standards through affirmative action among other ridiculous liberal policies that don't work. In the 1950s we still seemed to be doing pretty good.
