No desktop icon on the desktop...................?

in my computer there is no icon,taskbar, start botton on the desktop, then i try in safe mode but there is same result then i press alt+cont+del for task manager & turn off my com.can any one tell me how to recover.**i know format is the last solution** plz help..........get 10 mark
